Our festival will NOT be open for competition this year.

As far as our 5th International Intercultural Film Festival is concerned, we will not start our official call for films until early 2013.

The Festival screens DVD.
- FILMS completed after September 2010 are eligible for C&Ciff, 2013.
- Films at least 55 minutes running time, which are available on DVD.
- Films for submission are to be in their original version for the selection process. Films in languages other than French and English must be subtitled in either French or English.
- Films have neither been presented in television nor in the internet.
- French films must not have been screened publicly before the festival.
- It would be favourable but not imperative that films shot in English be subtitled in French.
- All films must be submitted for consideration on DVD in PAL or NTSC format only.
- The full cost of sending screening media for selection, including customs fees and insurance must be borne by the producer or his authorised representatives.
- Films to be submitted at the latest by the entry date 30th August 2013 with the exception of late entries. Fill out appropriate completed ENTRY FORM
- Films will only be considered for selection after the entry fee is received. All payments must include the title(s) of the film(s.
- Films are in their original version with French or English subtitles. All films invited to participate in the festival are screened in their original language with subtitles. It is recommended that a French and an English subtitled version be made available to the festival.
- The cost of subtitling is the responsibility of the filmmaker, producer or distributor. In special cases, CCiiff may grant financial support if available to cover the cost of subtitling into French and for a striking a print. The version released in the country of origin is regarded as the original version.
- The costs of transport, post, shipping of all material (both from the EU as well as from outside the EU) to and from the festival office are the responsibility of the applicant.
- Insurance for the shipping of all material to and from the Festival is entirely the responsibility of the participants.
- When filling in shipment or customs forms for film that are being submitted, please mark all packages “for cultural purposes only”
- All customs duties and taxes incurred when sending packages with express couriers must be paid by the sender.
- C&Ciiff will refuse any packages that arrive cash-on-delivery.
- All films selected in competition will add the logotype CCiiff to all their promotional material
- All tapes and DVDs submitted for selection will be returned only at the express wish of the owner and at the owner’s expense. Requests for return of material can be made to returns@CCiiff.com up to two months after the festival.
- The submitted films will be projected a maximum of three times during the festival.
- Once the festival is over CCiiff will archive all the films selected with the possibility of screening the films for non-circulating reference and educational purposes.
- A DVD of films selected in competition will be offered to the La Cinémathèque de Toulouse, the 2nd most important cinémathèque in France, to be made available free of charge for non-circulating reference and educational purposes.
- Participation in CULTURE&CULTURES intercultural international film festival implies acceptance of all regulations and compliance with all prior conditions pertinent to submitting a film to the festival. see HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR FILM
- If the film does not meet all the requirements, it will not be eligible for selection.
- The festival will notify all successful applicants at the latest by August 30th.
- Once a film is accepted the applicant will supply the following material by September 15th at the latest:
Eligibility
Films need to fulfill the following requirements to be eligible for the competition section
- the screening quality DVD master in either PAL or NTSC and or BLURAY formats as requested by the selection committee.
- Any material that may be missing or incomplete from the Entry Application
- Publicity material such as posters or Press releases.
- A trailer from the film for our website. The preferred video format is an MPEG2 or MPEG4 file up to 3 minutes in length or 100 mb in size.
- a maximum of five minutes of video from the Film for broadcasting, publicity and online purposes.
- use the publicity material (EPK, press books, posters, stills, etc.) to promote the festival.
