CCiiff 2012, our 4th year
2012 will be a very special year. Because we have been invited to create a retrospective of the previous three years of CCiiff in Mauritius by FIP (Fondation pour l’Interculturel et la Paix), our festival will NOT be open for competition this year.
FIP was founded by J.M.G. Le Clézio, Nobel Literature laureate, and Issa Asgarally, doctor in linguistics and professor at the Mauritius Institute of Education. Their objectives marry so well with our own: Promouvoir la connaissance des cultures du monde et leur interaction en vue de l’enrichissement personnel des hommes et des femmes, toutes origines confondues.
So we are very pleased to be part of their multicultural program with a retrospective of our previous three festivals, with YOUR films.
This retrospective will be held in the latter part of 2012, dates yet to be finalized. All filmmakers whose films are selected will be contacted before the end of April for their agreement. The selection will be done jointly by CCiiff and the Institut Français de Maurice.
As far as our
5th International Intercultural Film Festival in France is concerned, we will start our official call for films early 2013.
